What are your hours of operation?
We are at our limousine warehouse location Monday through Friday, 11-9pm. We do answer our phones and email 24/7 since we service clients at all hours of the day, 7 days a week. If you have an emergency, please call or text our office at 502-817-5454 as our email is not monitored during the evenings/weekends.
Are all limousine companies in Louisville the same?
No two louisville limousine companies are alike. Some focus their service on corporate clients while others cater to special events, night out and weddings. There are many factors to consider such as reputation, years in operation, licensing and insurance, customer service philosophy & office support. The chauffeur staff is also different among limousine companies, all our company employees are screened & trained in customer service. Please use due diligence in choosing your transportation service. Do not be hesitant to ask any pertinent questions including for proof of insurance.
Are there any additional costs not included in my limousine service quote?
KY sales tax will be added – In July of 2018 Kentucky started to tax limousine providers at 6%. This will be added to all trips made after July 1st, 2018 as per Kentucky tax law.
Gratuity – Quality service is customarily acknowledged by a gratuity of 15-20%. Derby City Limousines will never force or require a minimum tip. We want our customers to tip the driver based on their experience.
Clean up fee – Only when our limousines come back with excessive clean up needed will we ever charge a cleanup fee. If drinks spill or anyone gets sick in the limo you can expect a cleanup fee added at the end of the trip.
Damages – If anything gets broken in the limousine you can expect a charge to fix and replace it along with downtime charges.
Can I request a particular driver?
Yes! We love when we have repeat clients that really hit it off with their chauffeur and wish to request them for their next service. By all means, ask our office staff who your last chauffeur was if you cannot remember his/her name.
When does my rental start? Finish?
Your reservation time begins at your initial pick up time and ends with your final drop off. If you live outside our normal service area we can sometimes charge drive time there and back to our garage.
Can we bring our own music?
Yes, please bring your own music to enhance your experience with us. All limousines, limo party buses and shuttle buses are equipped with CD players. Some of our limousines also have USB hookups. Please ask our staff about your specific limousines amenities.
How will I reach my chauffeur after our event is over and we are ready to leave?
Your chauffeur will provide a business card with his/her name and cell phone number listed to anyone in the party that wants this information. We would suggest 2-3 people having this handy for reference during your rental with us.
What is the method of payment that Derby City Limousines accepts?
We accept (Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover) for initial deposits and final payments. All reservations must have a credit card on file. Should you choose to pay with a check you will need to send in your check 30 days before the trip date and we still have to have a credit card on file. You may also make cash deposits directly with our office when you make your reservation. If you wish to pay your balance in cash, you will need to be prepared to handle this with your chauffeur upon his/her arrival at the FIRST pickup location.
Do you allow smoking in your vehicles?
All vehicles are strictly NON-SMOKING. If any passenger smokes in a vehicle a minimum cleaning fee of $250.00 will apply, plus the cost of repairs for any damage related to smoking.
Will I receive a confirmation number after I book my ride?
All confirmation emails are sent out within 24 hours of receipt, however most confirmations are emailed within the same day.
